That may work for the initial enthusiasm of your weight loss diet, but it gets old after a week or so. Losing weight and changing your eating habits is stressful enough. But taking extra time out of your day, that you probably can't spare to begin with, is asking too much. And it's a recipe for failure.

2 They Set Up A Feeling of Deprivation
Traditional diets are about less. Less food. Less calories. Less eating freedom. Less taste. And this focus on less sets up a feeling of deprivation. You feel like you're losing out. You're hungry, but all you get to eat is some wilted lettuce and carrot sticks. Please! That not only sets up deprivation - it's also downright depressing.

Humans aren't good when they feel they are missing out. They immediately want to fight back and get all that life has to offer them, and that extends to food. We all understand that we'll have to make some sacrifices. But it's a balance. Forget the cardboard-tasting food. Respect the fact that you eat for nourishment and enjoyment. If you can eat food you enjoy, then that's a weight loss diet plan you're more likely to stick with.
